In the first half of our journey, students will dive into the wild and wonderful world of Australia! They’ll “travel” across the continent to learn about its diverse landscapes, unique wildlife, Indigenous cultures, and iconic landmarks. From creating dot paintings inspired by Aboriginal art to crafting their own Great Barrier Reef models and designing Outback survival tools, students will be fully immersed in hands-on learning.
Physical education will include traditional Aussie games and movement activities, while literature time will spotlight adventurous tales set in Australia, featuring animal heroes, daring explorers, and stories from the Dreamtime. Get ready for a sun-soaked, action-packed adventure filled with creativity, culture, and discovery!
Weeks 7–12: Shhh... It’s a Secret! 🤫
Don’t tell the kids—but things are about to get deep! In the second half of the program, students will take a dive Under the Sea into a magical, mystery-filled underwater world.
Here, they’ll tap into their imagination, teamwork, and STEM skills to build coral cities, design submarines, decode sunken messages, and navigate aquatic quests filled with problem-solving challenges. Art projects will shimmer with ocean inspiration, from jellyfish lanterns to clay sea creatures. Physical education will include lively, ocean-themed games that get kids moving like dolphins, sharks, and sea explorers!
Throughout the entire program, students will be engaged in a rich blend of history, science, art, literature, engineering and movement, all woven together through creative, hands-on experiences.
Going Places! is more than a class—it’s a journey that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and brings out the explorer in every child. From the heart of the Outback to the depths of the ocean, every week is a new adventure!
