Students enrolled in Homework Lab will receive an online study skills packet where, each week, they will be given a study skill challenge. The study skill challenges can then be applied to the student's current academic workload. This course isn't meant to add to a student's workload but to help students more effectively complete the homework they already have. The Homework Lab teacher will explain how the study skill challenge can be applied to different subjects and students will regularly be reminded to "check the checklist" to make sure they are managing their time efficiently. During the first three weeks of Homework Lab, the focus will be on getting signed into learning management system and navigating the online portion of classes. Later, topics will include effective note taking, shorthand notes, binder organization, and avoiding procrastination. Homework Lab is not private tutoring but the teacher will be available to answer questions about academic topics such as math, ELA, science and history.
The cost for Homework Lab is $80 for one hour, two days a week. You may take multiple Homework labs, each additional Homework Lab is $80. The vendor for Homework Lab is Full STEAM Ahead Education
