Algebra 2 is a course that extends the content of Algebra I and provides further development of the concept of a function. Some of the topics covered include complex numbers, exponents, radicals, matrices, systems of linear equations, functions (absolute value, exponential, logarithmic, quadratic, radical, polynomial, and rational) and their behavior, solving nonlinear equations, conic sections, combinatorics, probability, and sequences/series.
The student should plan to be responsible for completing 3-5 hours of homework assignments outside of class each week. Due to time constraints most tests will be taken home.
Participants must be entering grades 9 to 12.
