¡Bienvenidos! This year-long, A–G approved Spanish 1 course combines structured language learning with a fun, immersive approach to help students build confidence and practical communication skills. Through conversational activities, games, music, storytelling, and cultural exploration, students will develop foundational abilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while gaining insight into the customs and daily life of Spanish-speaking countries. Whether asking for directions, ordering food, or making friends abroad, students will practice using Spanish in meaningful, real-world ways.

Aligned with the World Language Content Standards for California, this course includes an independent study component with 3–5 hours of weekly homework, including chapter readings, online activities, video lectures, quizzes, and projects. All lessons, assignments, and grades are managed through our online learning platform. We use Senderos 1 by Vista Higher Learning (ISBN: 978-1-54337-065-2) as the core curriculum. This course is perfect for students who want to build fluency, understand diverse cultures, and be well-prepared for success in future Spanish studies.
