This course is directed for Language Arts students in 9th and 10th grade. All projects and assignments will follow an approved a-g syllabus and utilize dynamic, accessible lessons that appeal to all learning styles. The information and details for this class will be available on our learning management system, including where all assignments will be turned in and specific instructions for homework and in-class projects. Grades will be posted regularly on the Gradebook section of the course’s learning management system page. Novels and reading-excerpts, as well as other materials required for this curriculum, will be provided in class at the beginning of the school year. This course requires students to type all assignments and students are encouraged to come to class with a laptop- phones will not be an acceptable method to access work in class. All students should come to class with lined paper, pencils, and a blank journal or notebook.
To avoid students duplicating course work through 9th and 10th grade, this class operates on a two year rotating curriculum. Additionally, it meets all applicable standards and follows an a-g approved syllabus. Books read in Fall: My Antonia, The Importance of Being Earnest, EmmaParticipants must be entering grades 9 to 10.
