The Graphic Design portion of this course introduces students to the principles of design using photo editing and vector illustration programs. Students will be given exercises to work on during class and at home. These exercises will give students the opportunity to practice using graphic design tools, exercise their creativity, and create some amazing designs they will be proud to display. Students will learn to receive and give constructive critiques to improve design work. Projects will include but are not limited to: logo design, photo manipulation, font exploration, and character creation. In this specialized Graphic Design course, students will concentrate on the creation of the Bluedoor Yearbook. Students will explore aspects of photography, journalism, page layout, and much more. Students will be a part of making an important memory they can keep for years. Students enrolled in this class (2nd semester only) will receive a free copy of the final yearbook
