Description

In this course, creativity meets practicality for students in 5th-8th grade! Students will embark on a journey of discovery, exploration, and hands-on learning as they develop essential life skills and unleash their creativity.

Throughout the year, students will engage in a variety of interactive projects designed to foster independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. From learning basic cooking techniques to understanding financial literacy, time management, and organizational skills, this comprehensive life skills curriculum equips students with the tools they need to thrive in both their personal and academic lives.

You've heard the phrase, "Necessity is the mother of invention", As students explore life skills, they will be challenged to dream up ideas to make things more efficient! During the maker space portion of this class, students will unleash their creativity and innovation through exciting hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) projects. Students will dream, draw, and build prototypes and inventions. They can turn their ideas into reality while honing their collaboration and communication skills.

Our goal for this course is to empower young people to become confident, capable, and resourceful individuals prepared to tackle the challenges of the future.
